Sustainable, award-winning design
Krøyers Plads are Denmark’s first eco-labelled residential buildings, and earlier this year the project won the prestigious Green Good Design Award 2017, awarded by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies.
In 2015, Krøyers Plads won a MIPIM Award in the category Best Residential Development.
The five-story housing project has a significant location in the center of the Copenhagen harbor area. It was based on a hyper-democratic and contextual approach where folded roofs and architectural heaviness create a dialogue between old and new, and a modern, empathetic interpretation of the architectural uniqueness of the old Copenhagen warehouses.
