VILHELM LAURITZEN ARCHITECTS WELCOMES THREE NEW PARTNERS

2017-30-05

Instead of four, there will now be seven, when three new partners officially join the management team at Vilhelm Lauritzen Architects. Anne Møller Sørensen, Simon Natanael Svensson and Michael Schytt Poulsen, already members of staff in the firm, will help strengthen the company, which since 2014 has been experiencing rapid growth.

Vilhelm Lauritzen Architects are facing an increasing number of projects, so need some new blood at the top. So they are expanding the partnership with three fresh faces. Together with the four current partners, Søren Daugbjerg (CEO), Torsten Stephensen, Thomas Scheel and Thomas West Jensen, they will guarantee continued personal contact with, and the very best solutions for the practice’s broad spectrum of clients.

- We are delighted to be welcoming Anne, Simon and Michael on board as co-owners and partners of Vilhelm Lauritzen Architects. They will help make us a stronger, more diverse management team and help us manage and develop the abundance of exciting projects we have now, and will have in the future, says Søren Daugbjerg, CEO of Vilhelm Lauritzen Architects.

The three new partners are all architects. With their experience and their high level of professionalism, they will represent a vital asset when it comes to developing and running the practice.

Anne Møller Sørensen is a seasoned project developer and manager. Since she joined Vilhelm Lauritzen Architects in 2015, she has been one of the driving forces behind the biggest projects at Nordhavn: for example, a multi-user property at the tip of Redmolen and Denmark’s new island, Kronløbsøen. Anne is also an extremely experienced teacher, most recently as a lecturer at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, School of Architecture.

Simon Natanael Svensson joined the practice in 2006. In structurally and organizationally complex projects, Simon has total responsibility for maintaining architectural direction through all phases of project development. Most recently he was the design and project manager for the conversion of Illum for Blackrock (that resulted in the biggest ever single real estate deal in the history of Denmark), an embellishment of Amagertorv and a wide range of projects at Copenhagen Airport.

Michael Schytt Poulsen has worked for Vilhelm Lauritzen Architects for more than 20 years and, since 2008, has been an associate partner. He specializes in housing: an area that, in cooperation with Torsten Stephensen, he will continue to develop and lead. Michael’s drive and talent for detecting, understanding and responding to clients’ changing needs constitute a huge asset in terms of the firm’s work of conquering and retaining new markets: for instance, Sweden.

Anne Møller Sørensen and Simon Svensson have also joined the board of directors of Vilhelm Lauritzen Architects.
